The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality hired our team (RRS, Prime) to support the DEQ-convened Recycling Steering Committee to evaluate and recommend changes in the legal and relational Framework underpinning Oregon’s future residential and commercial Recycling System. EPR and Product Stewardship approaches will be a central policy approach explored within this process. Our team is to conduct research, report findings and develop Framework scenarios for a legal and relational Framework that will ensure a future high-functioning Recycling System for the State of Oregon. DEQ and its Partners will use information from this research to inform decisions in its long-term planning process to update Oregon’s Recycling System.
