EnviroStars is a free program that offers rebates, resources, and incentives to businesses who take action to protect the environment and employee health and safety. The program aims to saves businesses money, and EnviroStars businesses are promoted through regional advertisements and an online directory.
Recently regional government partners have dramatically revamped the program to better coordinate services and improve the experience of business participants. In an effort to recruit and serve businesses in Bellevue, and pilot new aspects of the regional program, the City of Bellevue Department of Planning & Community Development Environmental Stewardship Initiative, in concert with the City’s Office of Economic Development, jointly hired Full Circle to provide input on the how the new program is working for Bellevue, and to recruit participation from Bellevue businesses. Full Circle’s assistance engages businesses with regard to their resource conservation activities, including energy use, purchasing policies, recycling and waste management practices, hazardous waste concerns, water use, and more.
